MATERIAL & CONSERVATION

All works of Mocca Art are based on ritually prepared mocha sediment as the primary processual material, combined with acrylic paint, ink, or mastic on canvas or ceramic. The mocha sediment is permanently stable after drying and fixation.
After drying, the characteristic scent of the mocha sediment remains physically perceptible and diminishes over a period of approximately one to two years, depending on layer thickness, carrier, and environmental conditions. In older works it continues to resonate as a cognitive memory.
The fixation methods applied are designed for permanent preservation and have proven stable in exhibition contexts since 2024. The works are light-sensitive to the degree typical of organic materials. Direct light should be avoided. For conservation questions, the artist is available upon written request.
